Let’s Learn About Counting Coins!

 

Remember what he have learned so far:

five coins, face up.  A penny, a nickel, a dime, a quarter, and a half dollar.

A penny is worth 1 cent.

A nickel is worth 5 cents.

A dime is worth 10 cents.

A quarter is worth 25 cents.

A half dollar is worth 50 cents.

 

You have also learned about counting groups of same coins, such as all pennies, all nickels or all dimes. Now, we are going to learn how to count groups of mixed coins!

 

When you count groups of mixed coins, you always start with the coin worth the most and go to the least.
